Would you like to help out our community & donate blood? Our school is having a blood drive on Thursday, October 20th. To donate blood, you must be 16yrs old or older. If you donate, you will receive the LifeShare t-shirt.! Students & faculty can stop by Mrs. Nix’s classroom (Room 3105) to get more information & to sign up. You must preregister to donate.
 
Seniors,
Grambling State University will be hosting its annual Fall High School Day on October 29, 2022.  The Monroe Ouachita Chapter of GUNAA will sponsor the first 50 students in Ouachita Parish to sign up.  Please be advised that each student will require a signed permission slip in order to ride the bus which will leave from Wossman High School.  Permission Slips and the google link info to be used to sign up are located in the Guidance Office and on our Guidance Counselor Page at gorebs.org. 

It is competition day for our 2nd period classes. We will be testing your "College Knowledge!" Students work together as a class and have one person write the class response to each question legibly or where we can read it. One student will need to bring the form by 9:10 to the counselors who are standing outside the library. Make sure the teacher's name is on the form. Remember prizes will be given for not only the blue College Knowledge forms being turned in quickly, but with accurate responses! Let the games begin!

Have you gotten started on your College Applications? Now is your chance! Your Graduation Coach will be available during Both Lunch Shifts on Thursday, October 20th in the Computer Lab near the Library -- Computer Lab # 2102.  If you would like to get started on your College Application or have questions about college, please stop by for help. And let's make this a great College Application Month!!

Friday we will Light Up the Lions. Show your school spirit by wearing your favorite Neon shirts.

West Monroe FFA is doing a Turkey and meat sale to help alleviate the cost of shop projects as well as travel cost for events that students will attend throughout the year. If you are interested in helping support FFA please see any Ag. student or teacher to see a brochure and place an order. There will also be a brochure placed in the teachers' lounge for faculty to look at the items for sale. All money and order forms are due to Mr. Bratton on October 31st . Payment is cash only. If you have any questions, please email Mr. Bratton. Thank you for all the support. 

Calling all singers and dancers!! Are you interested in performing in the WMHS Spring musical? Here is your chance. This year's spring musical is Mary Poppins and the auditions are Tuesday November 1st after school. We will begin at 3:30 pm in the West Monroe High School choir room. Before the audition, please stop by the outside of the choir room to pick up an audition packet and audition form.  All necessary information is in the packet. You will need to bring the audition form with you to the audition. Break a leg!!

FCA/FCS pictures are today at 9:05.  Please leave your classroom 5 minutes before to go to the auditorium.

Bingo, Bingo, Bingo. Book Bingo, that is. The library is sponsoring a reading challenge.  Come by the library for more information on how to enter a drawing for a chance to win a $20 gift card.
